Traveling to the venue

We recommend that you travel by public transportation if possible. There is a limited amount of parking space at the venue so you might need to park far away from the venue if you come by car. Also, using public transportation is often the quickest way to travel, especially from Helsinki city center to Otaniemi.

The participant entrance is on the south-southwestern side of Dipoli, the event venue building. There is a large metallic sculpture of a pine cone, “Käpy-veistos”, in front of the entrance. When arriving there for the first time, please remember that you’re allowed to enter the event area only if you’re wearing a signed badge. When registering at the venue, please have your ID card and your QR code from your JunctionApp Dashboard ready.

The venue will be open from Friday 16:00 (4:00 pm) until Sunday 18:00 (6:00 pm). You can enter and leave the event venue as you wish during the event. However, note that sleeping is not allowed at the venue.

Transportation within Helsinki

Helsinki metropolitan area public transportation is arranged by HSL. You can find schedules, route information, and more at https://www.hsl.fi/en. The three best alternatives for journey planning are HSL-app, https://reittiopas.hsl.fi/, and Google Maps.

Public transportation tickets can be purchased from ticket machines at metro stations and at the airport by the train station. There are also multiple places to purchase tickets, e.g. all R-Kioski shops. You can also download the HSL app to your phone https://www.hsl.fi/en/app and buy tickets from there. Note: you can’t buy tickets on board, so remember to purchase tickets before boarding.
